Dr. Justin B. Heller is currently on staff at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California, and Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, California.
He is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, where he achieved the highest honors and was ranked in the 97th percentile among his peers.
Dr. Heller earned his Medical Degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed a 5-year residency at what is considered by most to be the premier plastic surgery program in the country — the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. After completing residency, Dr. Heller returned to Southern California for a prestigious fellowship training program in orthopedic hand/upper extremity and microsurgery at the University of California in Irvine under the instruction of world renowned hand surgeons.
Additionally, he participated in a year of craniofacial research fellowship at the University of California in Los Angeles. His undergraduate studies were at the University of California in Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in physiological science.
For his work in plastic and reconstructive surgery, he has received numerous awards and accolades from Yale University, the University of California, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Heller has authored a large volume of worldwide published papers, book chapters and abstracts, including 31 articles in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has given over 16 lectures and presentations in multiple countries. He has also traveled the world for Smile Train, an international charity that provides cleft lip and palate surgery to the needy. Currently, Dr. Heller is working on several important studies relating to hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeries.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Heller enjoys outdoor sports, traveling, restoring cars, and spending time with his family. He is also proficient in Spanish.
